Information Processing & Systems Philosophy: At the heart of Sutch & Searle’s business operations, strategy and planning, lies twenty years of investment in IT Systems. In the early 1980’s the company management realised that a quantum shift would be needed in the methods of operation if it was to retain Its position in the freight forwarding market and have a solid foundation for business expansion. Using computer expertise and forming an internal computer and systems services group in the mid Eighties, the Company today has a state of the art IT System that is second to none. It provides all of the necessary business instruments to support a freight forwarding organisation that is cost effective, accurate and timely. There is a management commitment to the highest level of quality and to provide service at the physical shipping level and all supporting elements and documentation. A key part of our overall business strategy is the provision of freight forwarding services that are of the highest level of value to our customers with the added value benefit of a comprehensive information, data and data analysis service, based on the content of out extensive database systems. |

The essential element of our freight forwarding and information system service is the presence of a highly competent I.T. group with expertise in System design, Database languages, Networking and supporting Hardware. All front-end operational software is designed, and programmed to meet the detailed specific needs of our customers. We do not buy in freight forwarding software packages, as these rarely fully meet our needs or those of our customers. To sum up - as a company we are not only freight forwarders but also information forwarders. |
